Emerging represents our own blossoming and nature's reminder to open like a flower to the sun and grow toward the light. The dragonfly between her shoulder blades represents the pathway of transformation and enlightenment. The symbol we recognize as yin yang is the balance of opposites. Her head resembles Kuan Yin - Goddess of Mercy and Compassion. In many cultures the spiral symbolizes continual growth as well as living from our center. Inside the bronze sculpture is a scroll entitled the blessing of emerging that says, "May we develop strength from our trials and compassion through sorrow. May we rise above the wars of the world and connect to the peace within. May we blossom with beauty by learning to live more fully in joy and gratitude."
